WHAT IS GOD’S CLOSET
God’s Closet is a children’s clothing ministry that collects and then distributes new and gently used children’s clothes to families.

HOW DOES GOD’S CLOSET WORK?
Shopping at God’s Closet is easy. It is similar to shopping at a store except all the clothes are free!
HERE ARE THE DETAILS: We plan to have FREE SHOP-DAY EVENTS throughout the year.
A FREE SHOP-DAY EVENT is when you can come and receive free children’s clothes!
ANYONE CAN SHOP AT GOD’S CLOSET! We do NOT ask for any type of documentation, so everyone is invited to ‘shop’ with us.
No appointment is needed or required; you just need to show up!
God’s Closet – Dungog SDA does not maintain any regular business hours, so you can only shop during our Free Shop-day events. Dates for the events will be provided in advance right here on our Facebook page God’s Closet – Dungog SDA. We will create a post in the EVENTS space provided by Facebook for you to easily share with friends, family, neighbors, or anyone you know who needs this assistance. Make sure to LIKE our page and follow us so that you never miss out on any events!
We ask each family to pay a $1 entrance fee (cash only). The fee helps us with all our expenses. It is $1 per family not per person and used only for God’s Closet. Once you arrive, pay the $1 entrance fee we provide you with the shopping bag. YOU fill them with whatever you need!
You can choose to bring your children or leave them at home, the choice is yours.
It is a FUN time when you get to fill an amount of regular grocery bag with whatever you need for free!

WHEN IS THE DATE FOR OUR FIRST FREE SHOP DATE?
We are currently in the process of collecting donations. Once we have sufficient items to make sure that when you shop with us you will have many options, then we will set a date for our First Free Shop Day Event and invite you and your family to come shop for free at God’s Closet – Dungog SDA. The date will be provided with sufficient time for you to schedule and plan to attend! It will be a fun time and we will be providing lots of awesome clothes! Please make sure to LIKE our page so that you don’t miss it when we advertise and announce the date!😊

HOW CAN I DONATE?
Please support us with your donations. We accept children’s clothes, shoes, and bedding only (crib sheets, blankets, etc.) from ages newborn to teenager! Clothes must be gently used, washed and cleaned.
Donations are given AS IS to another family, so we sincerely appreciate it when items are in excellent condition and clean.
Please do not give us items that you yourself would not put on your own children. That’s appreciated.

Donations are accepted in the foyer of the church. Just step inside with your items and there will always be someone to assist you by receiving your donations.
If you require or need a receipt, let us know and one can be provided.
